AN EXHIBITION in Eastleigh got off to a flying start when it was opened last week.
The Speed! Exhibition at Eastleigh Museum was officially opened by the Mayor of Eastleigh, Cllr Malcolm Cross on February 8 and looks at the story of speed in the Solent area in and around Eastleigh.
The free exhibition, which features some of the most pioneering technology over the last century, is open until April 19.
The exhibition also includes the spitfire story and the Gordon Keeble, Eastleigh’s 1960s supercar.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Gordon Keeble and there will be an event in Eastleigh as part of the celebrations to commemorate the half century in June.
