DRAINAGE works are due to begin in Colden Common which will see a major through-road closed for nearly two weeks.

Bishopstoke Lane will be closed at the junctions of Church Lane and Stoke Common Road as part of operation resilience – a road works scheme run by Hampshire County Council.

The works are due to begin on Saturday March 22 and are expected to last for 10 working days. The council hopes to have the road open in the evenings after the first few days.

A letter will be sent to local residents to advise them of the disruption.

Anyone with any queries should contact the Operation Resilience team on 01962 813063 or email operation.resilience@hants.gov.uk.
