ANOTHER image has been released of a man wanted in connection with a theft at a Winchester hotel.

Between 7.45-8.15pm on Wednesday, January 22 a driving licence and debit card belonging to a guest were stolen from a room at Marwell Hotel.

The victim received a call the following morning from a person pretending to be from his bank who has said there had been suspicious activity on his card. They asked for further details including his PIN number.

The PIN was not disclosed but the card was still successfully used in Birmingham to withdraw £7,000 from the victim's bank account.

Now police have release another CCTV image of a man they want to speak to. A previous image was released shortly after the crime was originally committed.

PC Caz Bulpit from Winchester police station said: “We would like to speak to the men in the CCTV as we believe they may be able to help with our investigation.

“We believe the men may also have links to the Birmingham area where the card was used.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Bulpit at Winchester police station by phoning 101. Mini-Com users can call the police on 18001 101.

Information can be given anonymously by calling the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
