WINCHESTER’S Jewry street was closed on Sunday night after a man climbed up onto scaffolding opposite The Old Gaolhouse public house at around 9.50pm and refused to come down until 1am the next morning.
Emergency services waited below after concerns were raised for the 41-year-old’s safety.
The man, from Winchester, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and possessing a Class B drug.
