THE Hampshire Farmers’ Market played host to a top TV chef when he visited Winchester on the weekend.
Luke Nguyen, known for his TV appearances on programmes including Food Safari and Heat in the Kitchen, was busy filming an episode for his latest cookery show on Sunday (May 25) using a variety of market produce to cook-up a range of Asian dishes.
Luke Nguyen’s Vietnam has been filmed for the UK Food Channel and will be broadcast in 2015.
Alex Hanford, business manager for the Hampshire Farmers’ Market, said: “We are thrilled to have Luke’s new series filmed at our Winchester market and to see how he will use all our fresh Hampshire produce to create new and exciting dishes that have an oriental and Australian influence, which I am sure will give our market visitors lots of new and interesting ways to cook our local produce.”
