A CANCER charity is offering a mobile service in Eastleigh providing free information about the disease.

Macmillan Cancer Support will be stopping off in Eastleigh on June 27 to provide appointment-free sessions to give confidential advice and information about the illness.

It forms part of the Carers Week campaign which aims to support carers and the people they care for.

Amanda Cummings, a Macmillan information and support specialist, said: “We understand how looking after someone with cancer can take over your life and become very overwhelming. We know that without the right support, providing this care can have a big impact – physically, emotionally and financially.

“From free information booklets to details of Macmillan services self-help and support groups in your community, we will be helping to support anyone affected by cancer with any questions they may have to help make sure no one faces cancer alone.”

The team will be at the Leigh Road Pedestrian Precinct from 10am-4pm.
