IT literally was a flying visit to a Hampshire school.
Children at Sun Hill Junior School in Alresford enjoyed the landing of an Army Squirrel helicopter.
They excitedly watched as the aircraft circled the field and gently came to rest on the playing field recently.
The arranged visit saw the pilot Lt Col Iain Smith, from the Middle Wallop air base, showing off the aircraft to the children and answering lots of questions. He stayed for about an hour.
Rebecca, a Year 6 pupil, said: βIt was really exciting to see a helicopter landing in our field and all the facts were really interesting.β
