WINCHESTER residents are preparing their picnics ahead of a summer party this weekend.

The fourth annual Party in the Park will be held at The Carroll Centre, in Somers Close, Stanmore, on Saturday, July 26, from midday until 5pm.

It will be officially opened by the Mayor of Winchester, Eileen Berry, and the Romsey Old Cadets will march into the showground.

New attractions at the fun day include M.A.D cycle stunt display team, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Pod and flypast, zorbing, vintage scooter displays and a Naomi House children’s hospice charity fashion show.

There will also be a children’s fun fair, bouncy castle, mobile farm, play bus, go kart party, Zumba dancing, live music and other stalls and activities.

The event, which is free entry, is organised by the city council, housing association A2Dominion, South Central Forum and the Carroll Centre.
