A DISPLAY of World War One memorabilia will be on show at Alresford Community Centre this weekend.

Alresford and District Community Association is staging the exhibition ‘100 Years on – Alresford Remembers’ to raise funds for the refurbishment of the centre on West Street.

The memorabilia includes artefacts, photos, books and items submitted by local people.

The show will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Entrance is free and tea/coffee and cake will be available for £2.50.

Organisers estimate that more than 230 men from the town and surrounding villages were killed between 1914-18.
