A DEMENTIA charity will benefit from a fundraiser at a Test Valley water garden.

The Rotary Club of Chandler’s Ford and Itchen Valley is behind the event at Longstock Water Gardens near Stockbridge between 2-5pm on Sunday September 7.

All cash raised will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Dennis Lill from the Rotary Club said: “Alzheimer’s Society is seeking to provide assistance for people and families in Test Valley and Eastleigh who need help because of illness, disability or mental health. They plan to set up regular local meetings for sufferers and their carers when experienced staff from the society will be on hand to offer help and advice.”

Entrance to the gardens will be £6 per adult and £2 per child. Car parking is free.

Mr Lill added that Longstock Water Gardens are rarely open to the public and the September event will be the last one in 2014.
