WINCHESTER is set to become the UK hub for an international education programme in which Nobel laureates mentor young people to become leaders.

Winchester University will host PeaceJam’s UK conference and act as the organisation’s hub in the south. The city’s involvement is led by student and young Rotarian Luke Addison.

PeaceJam pairs Nobel Peace laureates with young people aged 13 to 19 to mentor them to work for positive change in their communities.

The launch of PeaceJam Winchester will be marked with a screening of Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s new documentary Children of the Light on Sunday, September 21 at The Stripe in the university’s King Alfred Campus.
