THE CHILDREN of a Sutton Scotney man who died in the summer have raised almost £3,000 in aid of blood cancer charities in his memory.

Glyn Harvey, who had lived in the village for over two decades, died in July aged 67.

He was diagnosed with an Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in May last year.

Since then his children Emma, Ellen and Matt have taken part in a series of 10km races, including ones at Richmond and Regent’s Park, London.

In July all three siblings ran the 10km along some of Glyn’s favourite country walks around Wonston, Micheldever, Stoke Charity and Hunton.

Their latest race was “Run to the Beat” in Wembley this month, which raised money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
