THERE is nothing stopping this group of travellers after returning from a nine-day trip to France.
The journey was put on by the Hampshire branch of charity Jumbulance, which uses purpose-built coach ambulances to transport sick and disabled people.
Joan Hendry, of St Cross, said she enjoyed the visit and thinks the service is vital.
“Without Jumbulance I wouldn’t be able to travel,” she said.
“It is absolutely wonderful. I would not be about to go anywhere without it because I’m 96 and have a lot of heart problems. We are so well cared for and they work so hard to help us, with so much love and laughter.”
The Jumbulance caters for 10 VIPs – the name given to sick and disabled passengers – and up to 13 carers, and is a fully-equipped and registered ambulance.
Its Hampshire branch is based in Romsey.
