THEY’LL be rocking around the Christmas tree at a 1950s Boxing Day disco.

Teddy Boy David Foreman has invited Twyford villagers to get their glad rags on for a free nostalgic event with records spinning

The 61-year-old from Eastleigh decided to put on the ‘Boxing Day boogie’, with the help of his friends Steve Piper and Glenn Stewart, after the success of the rock and roll club he set up earlier this year for enthusiasts of the era.

David said: “No one’s got anything to do on Boxing Day so it should be a good afternoon.

“People can bring their own food and do their own things.”

It has been organised to run straight after Romsey’s 13th Boxing Day classic car and bike meet so that people with a passion for all things ’50s can go to both events.

The Boxing Day record bop will run from noon to 6.30pm at Twyford Social Club in Queen Street.

A host of three DJs will be playing music from the era throughout the day.
