FIREFIGHTERS were called last night after a fire at Winchester Prison.
Watchmanager Chris Roper, of Winchester station, said it happened at 3.10am this morning (March 28) after an inmate set fire to their cell.
They were removed by prison staff and taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.
Two appliances from Winchester Fire Station and one from Eastleigh spent around an hour putting out the flames using a hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus.
