A MARTIAL arts teacher is encouraging people of all ages to join in with a karate class to help raise money for a children’s hospice.
Nigel Hosking, who runs Eastleigh Karate Dojo, is hosting the event at Winchester’s River Park Leisure Centre in aid of Naomi House and Jacksplace.
The Sutton Scotney centre cares for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Mr Hosking said it is a cause close to his heart, as his 34-year-old son is severely handicapped.
“We go there each year and do a demonstration for them,” he said.
The class, on June 28 at 9.30am, will be taught by senior karate instructors and all ages and levels are welcomed.
There will also be a demonstration. Tickets cost £10 for an individual or £15 for a family. To book call Mr Hosking on 07971 634216.
