A WINCHESTER charity has invited residents to view plans for a new dementia service.
The Brendoncare Foundation hosts their drop-in event on Wednesday (JULY 8) to see proposals for the new state-of-the-art service in Otterbourne, which will be located on land adjacent to Penarth House.
Plans will be on show at the Otter Pub on Boyatt Lane from 3-7pm.
Carole Sawyers, chief executive of The Brendoncare Foundation, said: “The need for comprehensive, specialist dementia care has never been more urgent. Fundamental to those with dementia is the role of the carer, many of whom are themselves elderly.
"Our proposed new development will support couples to remain together and ensure that the needs of each person are met with understanding, compassion and flexibility.
"We hope that people will come to the consultation and see our plans for this innovative development.”
