New safety and bike measures at Shawford train station
MORE undercover bike storage and extra CCTV is set to be installed at Shawford Station.
Shawford and Compton parish council and Winchester City Council have worked with South West Trains to fund the additional storage.
A number of issues regarding the proposals were discussed in a meeting between Compton and Shawford Parish Council Chairman Mike Southgate and representatives from South West Trains.
The proposal will see a 12 cycle ‘double deck’ extension built on the pavement on land opposite The Bridge pub, which will be equipped with lighting and CCTV.
