TRIBUTES have been paid to a “golden hearted” former Winchester personal trainer who was found dead at home in Andover.

The body of Lisa Clash, 46, was discovered by police in a house on Picket Twenty Way at 8.25am on Sunday 2 July.

Police spent three days at the property after originally labelling the incident as “unexplained”.

Following investigations by forensic teams, police later declared Ms Clash’s death was “non-suspicious”.

A post-mortem examination found that the mother-of-one had sustained injuries consistent with a fall.

Since her death, tributes have been left by friends on social media.

One friend, Lisa Denyer, said: “I hadn’t known Lisa that long, about eight months. “We used to talk on the phone and regularly meet up for coffee or lunch.

We always had lots to talk about and would have a laugh,” she added. “I’m just shocked and saddened by her death and will really miss her. She was a genuinely lovely person and had a heart of gold.”

Ms Clash is believed to have come from St Helens in Merseyside, and previously lived in Harestock, Winchester.

According to friends she was “into her fitness” and regularly competed in triathlon events.

It is understood she had served for over 20 years in the Army and was most recently employed as an armed forces personal trainer.

Winchester Coroner’s Court confirmed that they had received a file on Ms Clash and opened an inquest on Tuesday.

The hearing is due to resume on November 15 at 1pm. Lisa's sister, Jill South, said: "It would've been Lisa's birthday last week. Such a huge shock to take in. "Lisa should be putting her birthday cards up, we shouldn't be preparing for her funeral."
