A DRINK driver has been banned from the road for 17 months after he was caught near Alresford.

Andrew Cooper, 51, from Peston Candover, was disqualified after he was stopped on the B3046 at Brown Candover on August 31. He admitted the offence.

His alcohol reading was 61 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
