Dave Musgrove, BBC History Magazine publisher, said: “We’ve very excited to be bringing our festival to Winchester for the first time. The city is a delight for history lovers, and the venues we’ve chosen are perfect for our event. I can’t wait to listen to our fantastic line-up of speakers delivering their talks in a 13th-century Great Hall, in the shadow of a medieval Round Table.”

Tickets and full details of the line-up are available on www.historyweekend.com or call 0871 620 4021.

Subscribers to BBC History Magazine can take advantage of a reduced rate for all ticket options, and there are discounts for visitors buying tickets for both festivals.
