THE University of Winchester has submitted its plans for a landmark building on a main road into the city.
A five storey learning and teaching building, designed by Design Engine Architects, could be built at West Downs Student Village on Romsey Road.
The planning application follows a public exhibition and presentation which was held on November 2.
The state-of-the-art building includes a 250-seat auditorium, teaching accommodation, library, dining and associated accommodation.
The university believes the project presents an exciting opportunity to create an impressive addition to Winchester’s civic buildings at the main gateway.
