Hampshire Ornithological Society gets a new chairman this weekend at the society's AGM.
Keith Betton, from Barton-on-Sea, will be announced as the new Chairman of the Hampshire Ornithological Society. He is currently the county bird recorder for the society.
As well as announcing the new chairman the AGM will have three talks on farmland birds, two of which will be the corn bunting and the turtle dove. According to some estimates both of these birds could be extinct in Hampshire in the next 10 years.
The AGM will be held at the Winchester University's John Stripe Theatre, Sparkford Road, Winchester. Doors open at midday and the AGM starts at 1pm.
