HAMPSHIRE Police Federation has donated £1 for every one of its officers to the family of PC Keith Palmer, who was fatally stabbed in the London terror attack.

It brings the total to £2,797 towards the fund, set up for the family of the officer, who leaves behind two children.

Five people, including the attacker, were killed after he struck pedestrians on Westminster bridge and broke into the gates of parliament on Wednesday (March 22), stabbing PC Palmer.

It has now seen the officer's collection reach more than £600,000.

A post on social media from the federation said: "Following the terrorist attack in London which left four innocent people dead including PC Keith Palmer, there has been an overwhelming outpouring for policing from across the UK and further afield.

"When one of our colleagues is lost, no matter where that may be we all feel the pain, the sense of the police family is very real and something we all feel."
