The number of crimes in the Silver Hill area of central Winchester has risen, according to the latest police figures.
In January 2017, the last available figures show there were nine crimes in the area close to Middle Brook Street, Kings Walk, Tanner Street and Silver Hill.
There were three incidences of anti-social behaviour, two thefts, two violent or sexual offences, one criminal damage and one burglary.
The figures were higher than any month recorded in 2016.
Much of it concerned behaviour by the old fountain on Middle Brook Street.
