AN ANDOVER insurance company and a winner of The Apprentice have joined forces and will be helping students in Tidworth make the Wright choice for the future at an event next week.

Mark Wright, winner of The Apprentice in 2014, will be sharing stories from the boardroom after partnering with Be Wiser for the careers event at The Wellington Academy on Tuesday, March 28, from 4pm to 6pm.

The successful businessman will be helping to inspire students and parents and give them valuable insight into the world of competitive business.

Mark said: “I’m very excited to partner with Be Wiser Insurance again in 2017. It’s great working with a company that provides such a range of training opportunities for young people.

“I’ve been lucky enough to build a successful career, so if I can help or inspire young people to achieve a brighter future after they finish full time education that would be fantastic.”

There will also be the opportunity to learn about the successful apprenticeship programme at Be Wiser, as well as the debt-free degree, launched last year.

Natasha Hookings, 23, has just completed the three-year Surestart apprenticeship programme at Be Wiser.

She now has an ACII qualification, an advanced diploma in insurance, from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Privately educated Natasha, who achieved 12 GCSEs, one As Level and three A Levels, decided that the apprenticeship programme at Be Wiser was a better alternative to university.

“I was the only person in my class not to follow the traditional university route," said Natasha.

“But the apprenticeship suited me because it meant further learning and a career at the same time."

After working across all the departments within Be Wiser Natasha is now working in the audit department and is aiming high.

“I would like to stay at Be Wiser and progress into middle and then higher management.”
