Andover RFC’s 50th anniversary celebratory events continued on Saturday February 20, when an Old Boys reunion match and luncheon was held to celebrate the club’s golden year. The game was played mid morning between a squad of former players, under the moniker of the Walworth Warriors XV and the Foxcotte Select XV. The Warriors side represented players who had played for the club, a number of them at first XV level, when it was at its former residence on the Walworth Industrial Estate. Meanwhile the Foxcotte side was made up of players who solely played at the current residence at Foxcotte Park in Charlton.

LAST Monday week’s meeting at the Portway to discuss all things Andover FC stirred up no shortage of passion among those closest to the club and the stories in the Advertiser and suggestions on the club website indicate that some are having a change of heart with regard to the immediate future.
