Andover II 3 Yateley II 2.
After a 2-0 defeat away earlier in the season, Andover 2nds got their revenge. Justin Adcock scored in the first five minutes, but Yateley equalised minutes later from a short corner. It wasn't long before Andover regained the lead through Sam Goacher from a penalty flick, with a Yateley player a receiving a yellow card in the process.
But Andover couldn't hold on to the lead as Yateley equalised again.
With five minutes of the first half remaining Jamie Stamp found Goacher on the edge of the D and he made no mistake. Andover’s defence tightened up in the second half, and held strong to take a well deserved three points, pushing them up clear from the bottom two.
Aldershot and Farnham Ladies 0 Andover Ladies 2.
Andover Ladies continue to dominate Hampshire Division One.
Andover dominated possession and Lizzie Vincent distributed the ball well to Laura Molloy, Anika Drage and Maddy Loftus, who had several chances but were thwarted by an excellent keeper. The deadlock was broken in the first half when Vincent’s shot deflected off a defender’s stick and looped over the keeper’s head. After the break the slick passing continued with Vincent intercepting and finding Molloy who thundered a shot home to clinch the win which leaves Andover six points clear.
