Four goal salvo brings National semi-final

Andover Ladies 4 Sale 1.

Andover Ladies powered their way into the semi-finals of the EHA National Vase on Sunday with a convincing win over Sale from Manchester.

They were dominant from the outset with slick passing and the changed strike force of Maddy Loftus, Holly Scott and Laura Molloy linked well to pressurise the Sale defence.

However stalwart Jacqui West opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from the top of the D then Scott scored a second from a pass from Kelly Drage. Sale did prove troublesome at times, forcing Ellie Ingram and Josie Steinson into action but Andover increased their lead when Molloy forced the ball home following a melee in the D. In the second half Sale pulled a goal back then keeper Hazel Stacey was forced into an exceptional double save. However their pressure was short lived when Lizzie Vincent ended any hope of a comeback when she found the bottom corner late on.
