Whitchurch United's Wessex League Premier Division match on Boxing Day at Alresford Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The home club took advantage of a sensible league ruling allowing clubs whose ground was already unplayable to call in referees sooner rather than later as more bad weather predicted.
Further stormy weather is expected on Friday which could well put paid to Saturday's fixtures which include Andover Town's second attempt to stage their first game at the Portway Stadium, against Team Solent and Stockbridge's first game since the middle of November, when they are due to go to East Cowes Vics.
