It took a while but in the end everything went to plan and Andover Town’s first ever game at their new ground ended with a 4-0 demolition of fellow title chasers Team Solent in front of a hugely encouraging crowd of 161.
Goals in the second half from Michael Dixon, Cole Hinchcliffe, Brad Benson from the penalty spot and Tom Riddell cemented the points and gave the new support a boost in time for the next home game, next Saturday when the Town entertain Amesbury Town.

Elsewhere Stockbridge were forced to call off their trip to East Cowes Vics as they had just seven players available and Whitchurch United wne t down to a shock 2-0 home defeat to Horndean in a game held up for 30 minutes due to a serious injury to a visiting player.
