Andover 46 Overton 5.

Andover put out a mixed team for their friendly – and within ten minutes the home side were dominating play.

Bert Baxter as ever was winning the scrums against the head and power house number eight Scott Bradbury picked up from the back of the scrum to crash over for the first of his two tries, converted by Josh Gibbs.

The Andover pack were in no mood for charity and, after another good scrummage, Dan Farr and Paul Gilbert released winger David Catt for the first of his two identical tries.

Overton never gave up and on the half hour scored a well deserved try to get some points on the board but that was quickly answered by the sheer speed of Stefan Long, who chased a long kick for the next try, again converted by Gibbs.

The second half started with a knee injury to Henry Rennison but soon Matt Moore went over for another try.

Overton looked tired and, within another five minutes, half-time replacement Leon Taylor got the first of his two tries, converted by Mike Graham, who also came on at half-time.

Andover continued to dominate and Bradbury again forced his way through several tackles to score another great try, followed 15 minutes later when Taylor went over for his second.
