Test Valley A, profiting from a 18-point start, defeated Hanson A in the semi-finals of the Advertiser Cup.

It started well for Hanson A when Matt Selwood lost to Peter Henderson 19-21, 18-21 but Test Valley quickly took control, winning the next five sets.

Oliver Raymond played very well to win his three, while Cameron Langdown won two and Sellwood one. Henderson won a hard fought win over Cameron 21-8, 20-21, 19-21, but by then the match was over.

Test Valley play Hanson C in the final.

Pumas kept up the pressure at the top of Division 1 with an 8-2 win over two-man Hanson Lions.

Richard Fettes won his usual maximum for Pumas, but Zac Hine played very well for Lions, defeating Shaun Carver 9-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-2, 9-11 and Danas Kairys 9-11, 7-11, 11-3, 11-6, 8-11.

This keeps Pumas at the top of the table nine points ahead of Tigers who have played one less game.

Figheldean won 7-3 against Hanson C with Tony Brown, Julie Dean and Lionel Coles all winning two each. Unlucky Andy Barnes won his three for Hanson C.

Only Jamie Smith looked like winning any more sets for the C team when he just lost to Dean 6-11, 6-11, 11-7., 13-11, 11-3.
