Overton United 3 Winchester Castle 3.

Overton were in action once again on Wednesday night as they played another r Hampshire Premier League game at Bridge Street.

After the disappointment of two heavy home defeats in three days they again got off to a good start as following some fine passing play Dave Parry’s pass found Chris Lavisher and his chip found the net.

The possession soon went and within ten minutes Castle had equalised following a defensive error.

After the break things again went downhill for Overton and just after seven minutes Castle’s defence cleared and from the breakaway they took the lead.

The game became very open and both goalkeepers had to play their part until just past the hour when another defensive mistake by Overton cost them a goal as Winchester Castle went 3-1 up.

Jamie Fewtrell introduced substitutes Nathan Rae and Alex Jupp and within seconds Rae cleared off his line which seemed to wake Overton up and the hard work and commitment started to show again.

They looked more dangerous and with ten minutes Parry headed in from a corner , It was all Overton.

Ross Cooke then played in Lavisher who took it around one defender and the keeper to slot home the equaliser.
