Whitchurch United 1 Bournemouth 4.
This match was played on a pitch which has recovered well following the recent rain, which is more than can be said for the Jam Boys who have struggled to find fitness after a long break when so many games were postponed.
Light drizzle did nothing to lift the spirits and the teams seemed fairly evenly matched until just past the half hour mark when a defensive error gave Luke Ingram a simple opener.
Just before the hour Ingram scored their well deserved second and ten minutes from time Poppies made it safe thropugh Connor Phillips which seemingly left the Jam Boys with little to play for.
However two minutes later they opened their account with a goal from the boot of Nic Turpin but Jake Rowley hit Poppioes’ fourth deep into injury time.
Whitchurch retain their tenth place in the Wessex League Premier Division but now have a threat from Fareham who are three points behind, but have two games in hand.
