Arms Athletic 1 Tron FC 1.

aet Arms win 5-3 pens.

President’s Cup Final.

Arms got off to a perfect start at the Portway on Sunday when a defensive lapse ended with Lee Cogan firing into an empty net. Although Tron tried to recover and push forward the better chances fell to the Andover side but they were unable to capitalise and Tron hit the post before half-time. The second period saw Tron gradually gain the upper hand of possession and it was no surprise when the lively Dave Parry's free-kick was parried to Jesse Todd who gratefully netted. Extra-time could not separate the sides so the cup was decided on penalties and Mark Keogh slotted the decisive one for Arms, whose Matt Scott won man of the match.

Wolversdene A 3 Wallop Wanderers 2.

Wolves took the points in this tight game against promoted Wallop. Terry Selvey broke the deadlock early in the second half with a sweet finish and Graham Taylor doubled the lead for Wolves. Simon Harvey pulled one back for Wallop from a goalmouth melee but Wolves regained a two-goal cushion when Clayton Hemstock's corner was met by Paul Lang. Wallop made things tense as Dean Cresswell ensured a tight finish with Wallop’s second but keeper Anthony Barnes ensured Wolves took the win by pulling off a great save at the death.

  Wolversdene 5 Andover Saints 0.

Wolversdene bounced back from recent disappointment with a stylish win over Andover Saints.
They started well and with confidence coming back took the lead when Danny Gale powered home a Lee Burgess corner. Another Burgess corner was met by Shane Reidy and Stevie Turner finished it off to put wolves 2-0 up at half-time. In the second half Wolves the goal of the game started at the back where a spinning back hell from Russ Mount found Steve Morgan whoSE cross was met by James McWilliams to cap one of the best team goals seen on a Sunday morning. Wolves’ top scorer Mount then got in on the act before Kev McWilliams rounded off a top display for Wolves.
