A Lloyd Foot goal midway through the second half was enough to give Andover Town a point, preserve their unbeaten record at the Portway and, barring a goalscoring miracle, give them promotion to the Premier Division of the Wessex League in their very first season. Neil Benson's side came back from a first half deficit to rivals Petersfield and keep a point ahead at the top with two games left.
With Cowes Sports drawing this afternoon they can now only draw level with Town on points if they win their last games and Town lose theirs, and even then the goal difference is over 30 which means two wins for Town will now bring the championship.
On Monday they entertain Tadley Calleva then next Saturday complete the league season at home to Ringwood Town.
