BM Hursley Juniors v Wherwell Juniors.

Wherwell won the toss and elected to field on what looked a good strip.

Lack of middle practice showed early as the bowlers struggled to settle but Brendon Tasker got one straight and the lack of bounce saw the batter return to the pavilion.

For the home side there was some positive batting with Reuben McRobert crafting a good innings that saw him retire for 32 not out.

The remaining batters struggled for timing and some good bowling from Tom Peck and Ben Conor saw both rewarded with a pair of wickets, however the home side totalled 135 thanks in the main part to 59 extras, something Wherwell will need to improve on again this season as they did last.

The visitors’ response also showed lack of timing and middle practice with only Tasker (ten) and Jacob Williams (22) threatening to upset the home side.
