Bransgore v Longparish.

Longparish slumped to a surprising defeat in a low scoring game at Bransgore.

Despite the absence of several first team regulars Longparish were favourites at the interval as Bransgore closed on 129-8 as Harry Martin took 2-17 and Alex Coetzee 3-20.

At 44-0 Longparish looked to be cruising but the introduction of Greg Jones to the Bransgore attack did for both openers and wickets subsequently fell at regular intervals before Jones returned to take nine, ten and jack in his final over to finish with 5-22 and secure a 17 run win for Bransgore with five overs remaining.

Longparish II v Littleton WH II.

Longparish II batted first and looked to be in trouble as they lost four wickets with only 20 runs on the board.

Bob Sturt rolled back the years with an eye catching 43 adding impetus to the innings and Warren Bonathan (16) and James Young (18) added late runs as Longparish II were dismissed for 144 with one over remaining.

James Young took 2-23 and U14 Scott Sturt 2-11 but wise owl Gary Taplin claimed the bowling laurels for Longparish II with a superb nine over spell that reaped 4-20 to secure a 32 run win.

Herriard III v Longparish III.

Longparish III travelled to Basingstoke based Herriard III and opted to bowl on a track that looked tricky for batting.

Harry Samways, Callum Giles and Nathan Smith all took a wicket each, Mali Colloredo 3-17 and Dan Bearpark 4-11 as Herriard III were all out for 82.

The Longparish reply started badly with the dismissal of opener Alan Longden, lbw early in the piece. William Samways, Rory Kerr and Callum Giles all batted well and Martin Bearpark added 28 down the order but could not prevent Herriard III claiming an 11 run win.
