Andover II v Hursley Park II.

In a rain affected game, Andover II made it five wins on the bounce as they beat Hursley Park II by 46 runs.

Andover lost the toss and were inserted and the slow wet outfield did not deter openers Harri Williams (27) and Martin Roberts (18) from setting a blistering pace.

With boundaries hard to come by the top order ran hard putting the fielders under pressure before the inform pair of Ed Duckworth (47) and Harry Blackburn (38) pushed the score on from 72-2 after 13 overs.

They built a partnership of 77 before the run out of Blackburn sparked a mini collapse but the lower order ensured that Andover posted a formidable 187-7 from their 30 overs.

In reply Hursley could only manage 14-9 as Andover bowled and fielded aggressively.

In the early part of the innings Evans (36) had played a flurry of cuts and expansive drives but the in-form Aiden Jansen (2-21) was well backed up by Duckworth (4-51) and after ten overs Hursley were 64-5.
