Hurstbourne Priors v AWE Tadley.

Hurstbourne Priors thumped AWE Tadley on Saturday thanks to an outstanding century from Ashok Nautiyal.

The away side were invited to bat and made a decent start with Alex Lovegrove hitting a quick fire 35. Once again Ady Budd linked up with the zestful Kumar Pegler to remove Davies then Patel hit a brisk 47 but it was the introduction of Priors’ new pace bowlers that stopped Tadley's great run rate. James Bayliss (3-26) and Charles Binks (2-38) repaid the selectors decision to play genuine wicket to wicket bowlers and despite Priors dropping numerous catches Tadley struggled to get going. Skipper Mike Burt played with discipline for his 30 before Mark Hamson's slower ball foxed him and away side finished on 183 all out.

Priors’ response was immediate with Ashok Nautiyal hitting Rimmer's first over for ten. Ashok was in no mood to defend and despite the next three wickets falling cheaply replicated the treatment being dished out by Ashok who amassed seven sixes and 15 fours in his 121 and was finally removed when Davies had him stumped. Budd (46no) continued the momentum and got Priors home with ten overs to spare.

Talbot Walker were match ball sponsors.
