Whitchurch United’s Longmeadow ground stages the 25th Dango Tournament tomorrow which includes an U13 game and an England v Scotland clash featuring some well known footballing names from recent years.

Played in memory of local player Glenn ‘Dango’ Anderson, at 2.15 pipers herald the first half of Whitchurch U13 v Bitterne before at 3pm the old timers representing England and Scotland kick off with the match ball sponsored by Nick Spencer of the Wessex League.

The second half of the U13 game starts at 4pm before the England-Scotland game resumes.

There will be a raffle throughout the afternoon in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Trust and the draw will be made in the clubhouse by BBC Sports presenter Mike Bushell at 6.30pm together with a small presentation.

There is an evening event at the Wolversdene Club in Andover The Scotland squad includes Stuart Anderson, Chris Plain, John Smith, Roger Smith, Ian Meecham, Alan Kennedy, Stuart Thomson, Wally Kamara, Geordie Lunn and Scott Tarrant while England include Vince Rusher, Derek Douch, Steve Sloan, Paul Odey, Mark Keogh, Danny Sullivan, Steve Smith, Glenn Damen and Chris Sutton.

Steve Murphy will attempt to manage England while Stuart Anderson and Roger Smith take charge of the Scots side.

All are welcome at Longmeadow for what will be the 25th and final Dango day.
