In Division 1 of the Whitchurch and District Bowls League Andover B suffered their second defeat in as many weeks losing 44-67 (1-4) to Howard Park and although they remain sixth they are now only two points clear of safety.

St Mary Bourne Hawks also lost 39-58 (1-4) to Kingsclere Quails and slip to eighth.

Andover A inflicted the second defeat of the season on Whitchurch Yellows winning 55-48 (4-1) at home. Yellows however remain clear leaders in Division 2. Pete Anthony, Mick Corden and Linnie Catchpole scored the highest winning rink margin for the week in this match (24-13).

Whitchurch Blacks lost a close contest at home to Oakley drawing 52-52 on shots but losing on two rinks. Blacks are now in fourth place ahead of Andover A on shot difference.

St Mary Bourne Eagles lost another close encounter at home going down 46-48 (2-3) to Marnell B but stay in third place. There is now only half a point separating the three local teams in third, fourth and fifth positions.

Andover C continued their impressive form with another maximum points win at home to Thornycroft (54-37). Andover C have now been undefeated on any rink in their last six matches and have gained 29.5 points out of a possible 30.They are now 12.5 point clear at the top of Division 4.

St Mary Bourne Merlins lost at home 34-60 (1-4) to Kingsclere Pheasants and remain seventh.
