Andover Bowls Club's Stan Hardman League team had their best result of the season beating Oakley away 67-39 (7-0).

The Basingstoke team beat high flying Kingsclere to move away from the relegation area in Division One.

In the Salisbury League Team 2 had their best result beating Amesbury at home by 14-0 but came down to earth against current champions Alderbury away losing by the same score.

Only two rinks lost on the last end so the result does not reflect how close a game it was.

Team 1 beat Amesbury at home 12-2 to keep the pressure on as they are fifth with three games in hand.

On Sunday Andover hosted a match between the Salisbury and District Bowling Association and Swindon Bowling Association with Andover members playing a major part in the Salisbury win with a winning rink and three players in the top winning rink.

The ladies have reached the final of the Salisbury and District Triples with a 47-29 victory. The final will be held at Amesbury on August 16.

Jackie Kingston reached the final of the Brookhouse Cup (Champion of Champions) after beating D Timms at St Mary Bourne on Monday.
