Peter Whent is another GB first-timer and has been selected to race in the European Middle Distance Championships being held in Majorca in October.
Chairman of Andover Triathlon Club, sponsored by VW Heritage Sailsbury, Rupert Griffiths commented: “It is an extraordinary achievement that a small local triathlon club like ours has produced five Great Britain triathletes in a single season.
It is a feather in the cap of our coaches and the enthusiasm of our members that these five have been able to earn the honour of wearing GB colours.
We wish them all the best of luck.”
