Andover B lost at home to Whitchurch and District League champions Kingsclere Quails 49-50 in a very close match but only picked up 1.5 points.

Although they remain sixth they are not yet safe from relegation along with four other teams. St Mary Bourne Hawks improved their chances of survival in Division 1 by beating Littleton Leopards 56-45 (4-1) but remain eighth.

Whitchurch Yellows clinched the Division 2 championship by beating clubmates Whitchurch Blacks 53-49 (4-1). Blacks are still in a relegation battle with three other teams with one game left to play.

Andover A beat Howard Park C 52-36 picking up 4.5 points and can still gain promotion this season by scoring maximum points in their last game. St Mary Bourne Eagles beat fellow strugglers Old Basing Cavaliers 47-42 (3-2) to improve their chances of staying up.

In Division 4 Andover C signed off with their 12th successive victory dishing out more punishment this time to Kingsclere Pheasants winning 77-33 (4-1). In their winning run they they have scored 55 out of a possible 60 points.

George McLaughlin, Andy Hooper and Ray Cozze had the highest winning rink margin (33-4) in this match.

St Mary Bourne Merlins lost 32-64 (0-5) to promotion chasing Littleton Lemurs and remain seventh.

In the Salisbury and District Men’s League Andover 1 reversed the previous week’s result against league leaders Alderbury 1 by winning 10-4 away.

Mixed fortunes for Team 2 with a 14-0l win at Pewsey 2 followed by a 12-0 defeat at home to Salisbury Victoria.

The Ladies League team beat Alderbury at home to maintain a mid table position.

The Basingstoke and District men’s rink team suffered defeat at home against Alton Social to drop into the relegation position.

The Ladies Basingstoke team have won their league with a game in hand.

The season is coming to its conclusion with the club’s finals day being held on Sunday starting at 11.30am.
