Trowbridge Town 0 Ludgershall Sports 3.

Ludgershall continued their good early form in the Wilts Premier League with a convincing 3-0 away win at Trowbridge Town.

Ludgershall, with a severely depleted team due to injuries and absence, could only muster 12 players which meant an unlikely start for assistant manager Andy McGlashan.

They again started brightly and were causing the opposition problems which finally came to a head when after 20 minute s in form Sam Walsh surged into the box and around the keeper only to be tripped by the last defender who conceded the penalty and was subsequently sent to the stands.

Chris Smith stepped up to give the away team the lead.

Instead of folding Trowbridge rallied and for the rest of the half were the better team without troubling the goal.

The second half started with Ludgershall dominating possession and using the extra man advantage to tire the opposition.

There were numerous chances missed before on the hour some exquisite football involving the whole team culminated in a great ball into Joe Shearer who flicked the ball back to the oncoming Nathan Strong who drove into the box and finished with class.

Ten minutes later Kevin McWilliams netted from ten yards out giving Ludgershall the win.

Trowbridge wanted one last say in the game and after ludgershall were brought down to ten men for a second booking they pushed forward looking for a consolation goal, good saves by new keeper Chris Wing made sure they kept their fourth clean sheet and their fifth win in six games cementing their spot at the top of the table.

On Saturday they go away to Melksham Town Res looking to continue their good early form.
