Transplus Tigers 60 SAS 27.

On their debut Transplus Tigers had a strong first game against SAS.

In the first quarter they took a 17-6 lead and in the second quarter SAS’s defence brought more pace but Hannah Carter and Sarah Richards maintained the lead.

Tigers made a few changes and with fresh legs and a new found energy increased the lead to win 60-27.

Adventure Sabres 45 Globe 27.

Adventure's newly-formed amalgamation of Avenue and KWD got off to a good start with the help of their Second Division squad who fitted in well. Nadine Whayman was playing against sister Carrianne and used her height to advantage while Cerrie Sherfield anticipated crosses in and scooped up many aerial interceptions. The Globe were 21-11 down at half-time and Helen Harkess showed no mercy and looked confident despite a brilliant display of defending from Globe's Sam Hawthorne.

Adventure Blades 29 CoverGirls 59.

The first half saw a more experienced Covergirls create a comfortable lead.

Tammy Aldridge had a great game and the third quarter saw Blades pull back some goals with Nadine Whayman and Dani Brown converting the turnovers.

Nicky Chewings’ workrate was excellent.

Wimpy 32 LED Synergy 24.

Wimpy had an impressive start to the new season in a friendly. They took an early lead and despite LED's best efforts, especially in the second quarter, the Wimpy team were able to work hard together to move the ball to their new shooting duo of Kim Brown (GA) and Vikki Bealing (GS) to maintain their early lead finally winning 32-24.
