THE Hampshire Golf Club’s November Medal competition took place over the weekend of November 1 and 2 and Steve Pyle (5) produced another fine round to take the Saturday Division 1 prize with a gross 73, net 68.
Dave Salter (14) finished second with a net 71 and he beat Paul Sanders (11) on countback into third place. In Division 2 it was Tony Orchard (24) who took the honours with an excellent net 67 which sees his handicap reduced to 22.
Roy Struthers (17) finished second with a good net 68 score and he has also had his handicap reduced to 16 while Kevin Galliot (21) was third with a net 70.
Due to the rainy conditions on the Sunday not too many ventured out, but of those who did, Will Gilson (6) won Division 1 with a net 70 and his handicap is now reduced to five.
Derek Woodman finished second with a net 73.
In Division 2 Matthew Woodman (15) finished top of a small pile with a net 75 from Les Hillon (21) net 77.
