The 7-Hole Competition winners were Luke Facey, Oliver Facey and Alexandre Facey with gross 29.

The Christmas Party was attended by distinguished guests, including the deputy mayor of Tidworth, councillor Corey Kemp and invited club members who had done much for the section during the year. However, the main group was that of the Juniors, together with their families.

Junior Section chairman, Brian Bosley, welcomed those present, and invited Sir Freddie Viggers a past club president, to say a few words.

Brian then went on to thank the present junior captain, Charl Malan for two years of continued captaincy and conscientious good work with the section. He also spoke of the 2015 junior captain, Tom Millar and his vice captain Callum Duff.

Charl presented the prizes, after which, he thanked Brian, Sally Powell, Peter Blake and the professional Terry Gosden for their help and guidance during the last two years and for making the day such a huge success.

Charl then officially handed over the captaincy to Tom Millar and, to close the day, Tom made a short but heart-warming speech.

In a time honoured, traditional, way he paid a vote of thanks to the organisers of the day and to the committee for selecting him as captain. He went on to say how very much he was looking forward to the year ahead.

Tom finished by saying a very big public thank you to his father, Mel, for all that he had done to help and encourage him with his golf and in making this day possible.
